Don't worry if you think you have a poor memory—our method is specifically designed to enhance word retention and build natural language reflexes.

Don't worry if you need to take a break for a few days—our adaptive system will adjust your review sessions to help you catch up seamlessly.

Step by step, you will gain confidence and fluency without even realizing it.

And then, one day, as you listen to someone speak or read a text, you will suddenly realize: "Amazing, I understand everything!"

That moment is truly magical.

How to use our method?

We recommend dedicating at least 20 to 30 minutes per day to your learning, in one or two sessions, at least five days a week.

Your review sessions are optimized in real time by our algorithm, which adapts to your pace and progress.

Below, you’ll find three practical guides to help structure your daily learning effectively.

Sheet n°1

The first lesson
Exploration

It is essential, at the beginning of a new course, to take the time to go through all the content.

This step prepares your brain to organize and effectively memorize the upcoming information.

By doing so, you will establish a mental map that will gradually fill in, facilitating access and retention of knowledge.

Let's now examine how the course will proceed.

1 - Choose a theme: If you intend to cover all the themes, we recommend following the proposed order to progress. However, you can also create your own path if you feel the desire to personalize your learning experience a bit more.

2 - Go through all the words in the theme: When you discover a theme for the first time, take the time to understand the meaning of each word on the list, see how they are used, and listen to their pronunciation.

3 - Explore each word in detail (available only in certain courses): When information is available on the words, click the "Information" button (the icon with the letter "i") to discover, among other things, the origin of the word, mnemonic tips to remember it, and grammatical explanations concerning it.

4 - Read all the words aloud: Once this exploration work is done, go back to the beginning of the list and read each word aloud, ideally using voice recognition to check that your pronunciation is correct.

5 - Start a first series of tests: Now that you have thoroughly reviewed each word, start testing your knowledge with the tests (target icon). These tests are quick to complete.

6 - Determine the next steps based on your results:

  • No wrong answers: You can proceed to the next test.
  • At least one wrong answer: It is advisable to retake the same test until you make no errors.

7 - Change the theme: Once you have been tested on all the words in a theme, you can start the same process on the next theme. You know that you have no more tests to take on a theme when you no longer see the "Next Test" button at the end of the tests.

Sheet n°2

The following lessons
Exercices

1 - Comprehension and Expression Tests: After exploring the content of a theme, dedicate the following sessions to tests designed to strengthen your memory and facilitate the learning of the most complex words.

2 - Managing Difficult Words: Errors on certain words make them reappear more frequently in the tests. For words with additional information, the "Information" button lights up in red to encourage you to consult the explanations and tips for memorization.

3 - When to Move to the Next Test: It is recommended to achieve the maximum score in the current series of tests before starting a test with new words.

4 - Understanding the Spaced Repetition Algorithm: Words are tested according to a calculated schedule to counter natural forgetting. The tests gradually become more spaced out, and after five successful tests over about two months, the word is firmly anchored in your memory.

Sheet n°3

Between lessons
Immersion

1 - Immersive Learning: Use the "Immersion" mode to listen to expressions without looking at your screen in the morning and evening. This mode helps integrate the language into your daily life and makes it familiar to you.

2 - Mental Visualization: In addition to listening, we recommend visualizing the words when you wake up and before you go to sleep to optimize your receptivity and ensure significant results.

3 - Upon Waking: Listening to words and phrases right after waking up will prepare you to successfully complete the day's training session.

4 - Before Bed: In the evening, your brain in a relaxed state is particularly receptive, facilitating the integration of the language into your thoughts and dreams.

5 - Personalizing Immersion: Customize your learning experience by adjusting the settings to choose the words to listen to and adding relaxing or dynamic music according to your preferences.

Frequently asked questions
About Loecsen

At Loecsen, we believe that learning a language should be a simple, intuitive, and enjoyable journey. From the very beginning, we’ve embraced a craft-based approach: every piece of content is carefully designed, every sentence translated and adapted to be immediately useful in real-life situations.

Loecsen isn’t backed by a big corporation — behind the scenes is a small, passionate team of language and learning enthusiasts. We work hand in hand with translators, proofreaders, and native speakers from around the world to create accessible resources for everyone — whether you're traveling, starting a new life abroad, or simply learning for the pleasure of it.

We move at our own pace, without trying to flood the web with content. Our priority is quality: delivering a clear, enjoyable learning experience that respects everyone’s time.

What does the name Loecsen mean?

It’s a word that doesn’t exist in any language — and that’s precisely why it belongs to all of them.

The name Loecsen symbolizes the universal nature of our method: a learning approach designed to adapt to anyone, regardless of their linguistic or cultural background.

Rather than replicating traditional classroom models or marketing formulas, we draw on universal cognitive mechanisms — the kind you find in games, active repetition, and intuitive learning.

We avoid cultural bias and rigid pathways, allowing everyone to learn in a way that suits their own logic.

For us, learning should always feel natural, motivating, and immediately useful.

Loecsen is that universal moment when a foreign language starts to feel familiar — when you don’t understand everything yet, but something opens up, and communication begins to feel possible.

It’s the shared spark experienced by all learners — that little miracle that happens regardless of age, language, or culture. A word created to name that unique moment — and in doing so, to connect us all.

What are the advantages of natural language learning?

🎓 Traditional learning

  • 📚 Word lists with no context
  • 🧮 Abstract grammar rules
  • 🧱 Impossible to explore the content freely
  • 🗯️ Artificial or absurd sentences
  • 🙊 Little to no speaking practice

🌱 Natural learning (Loecsen)

  • 🗣️ Useful phrases in real-life contexts
  • 👂 Natural listening and repetition
  • 🧠 Immersive understanding + clear explanations
  • 🎤 Speech recognition to train pronunciation
  • 🤖 AI chatbot dialogues using ready-to-use prompts
  • 🧩 Flexible yet progressive structure

1 - Natural learning: immersive, dynamic, and progressive

At Loecsen, we’ve chosen to replicate as closely as possible the experience of a child learning their native language — but adapted to adults, who already know how to learn, read, and analyze.

Practically, this means direct exposure to useful phrases in everyday situations, without separating vocabulary, grammar, and culture. You learn just like in real life: by listening, repeating, and gradually understanding through context — all driven by curiosity and the desire to explore.

All lessons are available from the very beginning and can be explored freely. This freedom encourages an intuitive grasp of the language and helps build a personal mental map that supports long-term knowledge retention.

Two powerful tools enrich this experience:

  • Built-in speech recognition lets you practice speaking out loud, correct your pronunciation in real time, and gain fluency. Speaking becomes second nature — not a final stress test.
  • Smart chatbots, connected via ready-made prompts, let you immediately apply what you’ve learned. You engage in realistic conversations based on real-life situations, moving from “I remember” to “I express myself”.

These tools turn passive learning into a truly interactive experience — putting you at the heart of your own progress.

2 - A structure designed to support natural learning

Our method is intuitive and flexible, but it’s built on a solid pedagogical framework:

  • A guided progression that supports without limiting
  • Lessons based on real-world situations (travel, meetings, daily life…)
  • Grammar sheets available for those who want to dig deeper
  • A practical, immersive logic at every step

3 - A vocabulary selection made for real life

Unlike encyclopedic methods, we’ve chosen to focus on targeted vocabulary:

  • Essential words and expressions to get by quickly
  • Realistic phrases — never absurd or out of context
  • Vocabulary reused regularly to reinforce long-term memory

➡️ Fewer words, better chosen — for faster, more tangible results.

4 - Radical clarity in presentation

We believe simplicity and immediacy are your best allies when learning. That’s why:

  • The interface is clean and distraction-free
  • From the very beginning, learners are immersed in the language — visually and audibly

In short: traditional learning teaches you to recite a language. Natural learning teaches you to live it. That’s the key difference.

What sets your method apart from others?

While many methods focus primarily on the playful or purely conversational aspect of learning, Loecsen has taken a different path: one of practical, simple, and lasting efficiency.

Our goal isn’t to grab your attention for a few minutes a day, but to help you truly acquire a language and start using it — even without a connection, even without an app — from day one.

Right from the start, you access useful vocabulary that can be used immediately. No artificial or quirky sentences — everything you learn is applicable in real life.

You get a clear overview of the entire course from the beginning, so you can organize your learning effectively. No locked levels or forced progression — you move forward at your own pace.

Pronunciation is a key focus of the method, thanks to an integrated voice recognition system (available on Chrome and Android). You’re learning to speak, not just to recognize words.

The learning process is both active and passive: you can listen to all content in bilingual mode, with or without background music, to reinforce your knowledge even passively.

The method adapts to your rhythm: reviews are personalized, content is flexible, and you’re never locked into a rigid framework. You’re free to build your own learning path.

And finally, you can keep learning even without a screen: all content is available in downloadable PDF and audio formats, so you can study anytime, anywhere — no digital interface required.

Loecsen is designed for those who want to learn freely, without depending on an algorithm or a gamified system. It’s a method that respects your time, your intelligence… and your independence.

How many tests do you need to do per day to progress?

There is no strict rule, but it is generally recommended to carry out at least three sessions.

Remember that the first sessions are often the longest, including the time needed to discover the material.

The "magic" of our method guarantees that, whatever time you can allocate to learning, harmony will be established between this time and the requests received to carry out the tests.

If the number of tests to be carried out becomes too large, you will naturally slow down your pace, which will reduce the demands. Our program will then gradually adjust the order of the words to learn to optimize your learning journey according to your availability.

We recommend spending at least 3 hours per week on this training for optimal results. The pace can be adjusted according to your availability.

The most important thing is to train daily and never interrupt your training sessions for more than 2 or 3 days.

The first results will be visible from the first sessions, especially if you start from scratch. You will quickly see your progress.

Do you use artificial intelligence in your courses?

We use AI to enhance our courses, making them more comprehensive, engaging, personalized, and interactive.

However, there is one thing we do not delegate to AI: the control of content relevance and pedagogy, which is determined language by language. Learning Finnish is not the same as learning Spanish, and a German learner will have different questions when learning Spanish compared to a French learner.

We currently use artificial intelligence for:

  1. Pronunciation analysis: We use AI-powered voice analysis technologies to evaluate and correct users' pronunciation, helping them improve their accent with precision.
  2. Instant feedback: We use AI to provide immediate feedback on users' responses, helping them learn from their mistakes in real time.
  3. Allowing a broad and nuanced range of responses: AI enables us to recognize if an unexpected response is still correct. It helps us explain the nuance between the user's answer and the originally expected one.

Coming soon:

  1. More personalization: We will use AI to tailor lessons based on the user's progress and difficulties, offering personalized exercises to strengthen each learner's specific language skills.
  2. Interactive conversations: We will integrate learning chatbots to allow users to practice real-time conversations based on learned concepts and vocabulary, providing contextual corrections and suggestions.
Can talking to an AI help you learn a language on your own?

We tested several AI-based conversational apps designed for language learning. The result? They’re an excellent complement to self-learning online or with a teacher.

But here’s the catch: these tools tend to deliver fast results mainly for learners who already have some basic knowledge of the language.

For complete beginners, it can be the opposite – progress often feels slow and frustrating without a solid memorization method to support it.

There’s a simple reason for this: the human brain retains information much better when it creates multiple connections around what it learns.

That’s why our method combines several key elements: listening to sounds, speaking out loud, reading illustrated content, and even playing games!

So yes, AI chatbots can work wonders… as long as they’re part of a real language learning strategy!

To help you get started, we provide free ready-to-use instructions – or “prompts” – that you can copy and paste into ChatGPT by OpenAI or any other chatbot.

The real secret to fast, effective learning lies in combining these conversational tools with a structured approach like the one Loecsen offers.

The chart below shows different learning curves depending on the method used, to help you better understand how progress can vary.

Progression curves for language learning with AI compared to other methods

How can I help my child learn a language without too much screen time?

It is now well established that excessive screen time can impact health in the short term, cognitive abilities in the medium term, and personality development in the long term. These effects are even more pronounced in children.

At the same time, technological advancements have transformed education, allowing young learners to master a new language independently as early as age 10 or 11—something that would have seemed impossible just a few years ago.

To bridge these two realities, we have developed solutions that maximize educational benefits while minimizing screen time:

  1. Voice recognition with automatic progression: complete exercises without looking at the screen. This tool also boosts confidence and speaking skills.
  2. Immersion Mode: access audio content for a screen-free learning experience.
  3. Printable study sheets and downloadable audio files: review autonomously, even completely offline.
  4. High-impact practice tests: focus only on exercises that truly enhance comprehension and speaking/writing skills.
  5. Optimized spaced repetition algorithm: reduce learning time with a personalized review schedule tailored to your unique memory.

These tools are designed to provide an engaging, effective, and interactive learning experience while promoting digital well-being.

Our mission: to make learners independent as quickly as possible, so they can fully enjoy life—without increasing or reinforcing screen dependency.
